following example is an approximate approach to modeling exfiltration
trenches. This approach will become obsolete with the release of
PercPackTM.
Exfiltration
trenches are typically used in highly urbanized settings where land costs
and availability are at a premium. They consist of perforated pipe
in a rock filled trench and are used to store and dispose of stormwater
below the ground. The following slide show illustrates how ICPR can
be used to model these types of systems including hydraulics of the pipe
system used to connect the various catch basins, a control structure used
to force percolation and routing through a detention pond. The ICPR
